Welcome to Abfabglass the home of Richard Goldings work from both Okra Studio Glass and Station Glass

Richard has now well and truly settled in to his new studio and we have seen some wonderful new designs and ideas flowing from the master.

The most exciting things to happen is that both Richard and Terri were commissioned to recreate what must be one of the Holy Grails in glass that is The Portland vase. This is a testament to the high regard that both Richard and Terri are regarded from the glass world and historians. It was lovely to meet so many of you this year at Richards open days and also the Glass fairs all of which were so busy time just seemed to fly by.

With trains disgorging their passengers about once every hour it was great to watch the expressions on peoples faces that had no idea as to what the station was home to. In these days of mass production which takes place many thousands of miles away to watch a Master Craftsman at work was a shock to their systems and many just stand there opened mouthed not making a sound but just watching Richard s every move and when the piece was finished a huge round of applause, and rightly so.

Richard has started work on some Graal pieces and we are very excited to see how they come out.
